The Mets dressed up the team’s rookies in various costumes after yesterday’s 4-0 win in Florida. Thanks to the power of the Internet, we can see those photos.

Jerry Manuel confirmed to reporters that Pat Misch will be pulled from the rotation for the rest of the season, likely to be replaced by Tobi Stoner or Lance Broadway, reports Adam Rubin.
I’m torn. On one hand, why not let Misch keep pitching for the rest of the year? What’s two or three more starts and possible losses?
On the other hand, I do want to see what the Mets have in Stoner and Broadway. Doesn’t look like either can be an impact player for next year, but they are under the team’s control and could help a few years down the road. Let’s get a preview now.

Tobi Stoner, a 24-year-old righthander, is expected to be called up to the Mets for Tuesday’s game at Citi Field, reports Adam Rubin.
Stoner went 9-9 between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Buffalo this season. He went 2-2 with Binghamton and 7-7 with Buffalo.
He compiled a 3.55 ERA and a 1.154 WHIP in 144 2-3 innings. He allowed 14 home runs while striking out 92 and walking 47.
Stoner is likely up for insurance purposes, as John Maine is starting in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday. Maine is coming back from a long stint on the DL with shoulder issues.
Does anyone else foresee a whole lot of “Stoner” jerseys selling out?
The Mets have landed outfielder Javier Castillo from the Chicago White Sox, according to Adam Rubin. Castillo will report to Triple-A Buffalo.
Castillo was hitting .262 with two home runs and 15 RBI with the Charlotte Knights, the White Sox Triple-A affiliate.
In a corresponding move, the Bisons released Jason Cooper, who had been with the Bisons since 2004.
Rubin also notes that Tobi Stoner has been promoted to Triple-A Buffalo.
