Wave goodbye to Willie

After all Willie Randolph's latest comments on race and SNY, I get the feeling the Mets are beginning to search for a replacement.

Randolph's days are numbered.

Who do you want to replace Randolph if/when he is fired?

  1. Everyone thinks I'm a loon but it's going to be Lee Mazzilli. fan fave, former manager, Brooklyn guy, works for SNY. Could be in Flushing in an hour.

  2. I could see it happen.

I don't know if he wants to leave his cushy job at SNY thought, you know?

  3. Mazz was my guess. Did a nice job with a mediocre club in Baltimore.

  4. Mike Piazza!

J/k. I'd rather see him become an analyst or in some front office roll that wouldn't see him get criticized as often as the guys in the dugout.

I really don't know. I think it will take more than a new manager to make this team turn around and play how we all expect them to play.

  6. Man, it is just plain stupid to fire a manager in the middle of the season. It throws everything off. I wish everyone would just shutup about this. All you Giant fans out there just think back to when everyone wanted Coughlin fired after the Saints game in 2006. What happened the next year? Hmm.

And besides, we are not even halfway through the year!

  7. Fire Sandy Alomar Jr. and bring on Mikey P.

Bobby V is not coming back.

And sometimes the team needs a shakeup, and you can't fire all the players on the team, so the manager becomes the scapegoat.
