12 Angry Mascots: Jeff Wilpon’s vlog
The mad minds behind 12 Angry Mascots are launching a Jeff Wilpon video blog called The WilVlog.
Below is the first installment.
They plan to post every Tuesday and Thursday for the next few weeks.
This should be fun.
(Driving to Atlantic City for the next few days. Might have Internet, might not. If not, talk to you on Friday!)

From Spring Training [Videos]
I’m not lucky enough to be in “chilly” Port St. Lucie. Instead, I’m stuck in snowy Connecticut. YouTube user AlyB248 was there, and posted some quick videos from spring training. See below…

Oliver Perez on the mound [Video]
The Daily News has a one-minute video of Oliver Perez pitching in Port St. Lucie. See below for the vid…
A few things here:
- There’s nothing I can discern from the video about Perez. He’s alive. He’s pitching. He’s wearing black. That’s about it.
- There is snow all over CT. What I wouldn’t give to be in PSL right now.
- That’s Hisanori Takahashi on the right. Nice hitch in the delivery. Also, his interpreter in the back.

Johan Santana handshake [Video]
Because it’s Sunday and absolutely nothing is going on, why not repost this video of awesome?
Enjoy and feel free to discuss anything Mets-related in the comments.

Ex-Met: Jose Offerman ‘punches’ umpire [Video]
Jose Offerman, who was a Met for 53 games, “punched” a Dominican League umpire and it was captured on video.
I guess it’s safe to say Offerman has no future in boxing.

‘I Hate the Mets the Most’ [Video]
My favorite line: “Heck yes, we miss Francoeur”
Still, I’d prefer these guys to Kuff and the Buttheads every day of the week.

Here is the Mets 2010 promotional video…
What do you think?

New York Mets songs [Video / Audio]
I won’t be around much today. If you follow my Twitter, you likely know why.
So here, on this cold December day, are as many New York Mets-related songs I could find on YouTube. Which is your favorite?
Some of these are just gold.

Jose Reyes interview on WFAN [Video]
I’m about to pack up and hit the road back to my home state of New Jersey. Just finished up the first half of my senior year at Quinnipiac University, so it’s winter break! (Man, when did I get so old?!)
While waiting on Jason Bay and reveling in the signing of Ryota Igarashi, here are links to the videos from Jose Reyes’ interview on WFAN from Wednesday.
Enjoy and if anything happens, in the next three hours, shoot me an e-mail (TheRopolitans@gmail.com) and I’ll pull the car over and post from the road.

‘69 Mets contribute to Habitat for Humanity [Video]
Here’s a neat little video with the 1969 Mets as they contributed to Habitat for Humanity this summer.
Enjoy on your crappy Saturday.

More ‘69 World Series videos
Two more videos from the 1969 World Series. First up, the shoe polish play…
And the final out and subsequent celebration…
Great comment on the first one: “The 1969 Mets – God’s most recent miracle!”

‘69 Mets locker room after winning the World Series [Video]
This is just too cool.
This seems to be the NBC feed, with no commercials, which is awesome.
Also, note the insanity on the field. Could you imagine if they still allowed that?

Buffalo Bisons featured in national AT&T ad [Video]
Last night as I was lying in bed, I caught the last end of a commercial for a cell phone. The baseball team featured looked a lot like the Buffalo Bisons uniforms.
Well, a little Googling and here we are. AT&T has sponsored the Bisons for 10 years, according to Buffalo Business First.
Here’s the video…
Unfortunately, and in typical Mets fashion, Carl Shouse tore his hamstring in the third inning and missed the rest of the season.

The Mets and Sesame Street [Videos]
Happy 40th birthday, Sesame Street.
Watch Keith Hernandez, Mookie Wilson and Ron Darling on the classic TV show.
Awesome.

Second spitter
For no reason in particular, other than this is one of the best scenes in Seinfeld. Ever.
