The Mets have released Tom Martin, along with his broken wrist and mounted hog head.
Martin, a left handed reliever likely bound for Buffalo, fell down a flight of stairs at his rented home in Florida, breaking his wrist 10 days ago.
For lack of a better phrase, this is a "tough break" for Martin.

Tom Martin breaks wrist
Tom Martin, a possible bullpen candidate, broke his wrist in a fall in his rented home on Thursday. Martin fell down the stairs at his home.
Ron Villone's signing becomes bigger and bigger with each passing day. First Duaner Sanchez gets cut, now Martin is out.
If you're competing for a Mets bullpen spot, I'd watch your back.

Mets add a few to minors
According to Baseball America, the Mets have signed a few players to the minor league team.
Lefty Martin has been with seven teams in 11 years. He appeared in 14 games with the Mets back in 2001, registering a miserable 10.06 ERA in 17 innings.
Paniagua and Reyes are both re-signings, as they were both with the club in some capacity in 2008.
Thanks, Susi!
