Settle a bet: Who is faster: Brett Gardner or Jose Reyes?

Very simple. Between Yankee outfielder Brett Gardner and Mets shortstop Jose Reyes, who do you think is faster?

My Yankee friend has some delusion that Gardner is quicker. Please give me proof to blow him out of the water.

    No proof is needed. Reyes is the fastest player in baseball. Perhaps all professional sports.

    When Brett Gardner steals 70 bases in the big leagues come back to me. Brett Gardner? Seriously? Are we going to hype him more than Melky Cabrera? The Milk Man.

    Guys, I love Reyes, but Gardner can run. I think Reyes is faster, but Gardner can run. Can't hit a lick though.
